Quick Wins: Two Types of Motivation

You might not realize it, but as a business owner and leader, you have the option to choose between two types of motivation. Push motivation usually comes the most naturally because it involves you forcing people to do what you’re asking them to do, but they will likely be hesitant or resistant to this tactic and be less productive and less efficient. However, if you can learn to implement pull motivation by attracting people to do something through inspiration, community, direction, or uniting them behind a common purpose, they are likely to perform at a higher level and be better for your culture and your business.
